The church spreads religion to the surrounding villages within its influence area. Without a church to influence the troops, troops outside a churches area of influence will fight with a 50% reduced efficiency both in defense and offense capabilities.
For information about the First Church click here.

- A church is only available on worlds that have religion enabled in their settings.
- A church can be upgraded up to level 3. The higher the level, the larger the radius of influence.
- Players do not have to build a church in every village, since one smartly placed church covers enough area to boost the belief of all of the villages in its range.
- If a church village is conquered, all the villages inside the conquered church radius will fight at 50% strength, unless covered by another church.
- Supporting troops sent from a village outside a church radius will fight at 100% strength so long as the village they're stationed in is religious.
- Churches can be catapulted but they take significantly more catapults to drop a level than normal buildings. When you noble a village the church disappears.
- The Church influence area only affects your own villages, not allies or other players villages.
